The MySunrise patient support App is now avaliable free of charge to all patients recieving care and treatment at Royal Cornwall Hospital. Dr John McGrane Consultant Oncologist who has been leading development said "This is a huge success for Royal Cornwall Hospital and all of our cancer patients who will have free access to this app. We really hope they benefit from this as we seek to better support out patients and make cancer care the best it can be in Cornwall."

The MySunrise App is a free resource developed with Oncology team at Royal Cornwall Hospital to support patients and their families right from diagnosis, providing information specific to their local cancer centre - The Sunrise Centre - as well as providing regional and national links to cancer support information and resources.

MySunrise provides a whole range of useful information supporting the patient journey and different cancer treatments available in Cornwall. It includes a number of useful videos on the service provided at the Sunrise centreas well as the treatments offered. It also provides information on 'What to look out for' if patients become unwell whilst receiving treatment and provides a 'Contact Us' section which includes a 24 hr chemotherapy advice line.

More general advice on local support groups, complementary therapies, the flu jab and driving is also included in the My Journey section of the app.

We very much hope the App serves to support Cancer Patients in Cornwall. Helping them to make the right decisions and give them back a bit of control during this difficult time.

The MySunrise App has been expertly led by Dr John McGrane, Consultant Oncologist at Royal Cornwall Hospital and has been kindly funded by the Sunrise Appeal.
